It comes once again, and most people complain

A time where we reflect to receive a spiritual gain

For a period of time we must fast and pray

The will of the Lord we must try hard to obey

Trying so hard to do our charitable deeds

And we mustn?t forget those in need

At times we feel tired, and then we grow weak

But the embrace of our Father is what we seek

God has given us his Son, he was born into mankind

So that we may eventually leave our sinful lives behind

Please Lord strengthen us, and give us a blessed fast

That we may one day become of the Holy, and be with you at last
